Building motor skills and confidence through play
In our kids class combining karate, kickboxing and gymnastics, children naturally learn how to use their bodies while having fun.
We develop not only basic physical abilities like fitness, flexibility and balance, but also growth of the heart, such as courtesy and concentration.
From children who aren’t athletic to those who want to get even stronger, we support each child individually.
In Ikeda, Kawanishi and Takarazuka,a children’s lessonit’s a popular choice — from families who want to nurture courtesy, concentration and self-esteem, to those who want their child to learn self-defense that stands up to bullying. Children aged 4 and up can attend from once a week.

Kids Karate
* Ikeda-certified community club
“I want them to seriously challenge themselves at something”
“I want them to develop courtesy and perseverance”
Do you feel this way?
In karate, children experience not only the joy of winning and the frustration of losing, but also “pain” through real physical contact. It is precisely those experiences that nurture the kindness to consider others’ feelings, and true strength.
In training, children bow many times. That repetition naturally becomes the foundation for courtesy and consideration. Valuing “bright, strong and courteous,” Seikukai creates an environment where both mind and body can grow tough.
[You can join the gymnastics class too] With jumping, hopping, balance games, mat exercises and more, it’s a class where children build up “I did it!” moments in a playful way.
It’s perfect even for children who aren’t athletic or find it hard to sit still, building a foundation of confidence, posture and concentration.
It’s included in the kids karate plan (¥8,800) and can be joined at no extra charge.

Kids Kickboxing
* Ikeda-certified community club
In the kids kickboxing class, children practice punch and kick form, mitt work, and simple partner drills.
We don’t do hard sparring; training is done with safety in mind.
Even children who couldn’t join the training at first have worked steadily and gone on to win or place at national tournaments.
Everyone has grown through the many experiences kickboxing brings, to where they are now.

Kids Gymnastics
Kids gymnastics is a first step that even children who aren’t athletic can find “fun!” Through jumping, hopping, balance games, mat exercises and other playful movement, they build up the success of “I did it!”
It suits not only athletic children, but also
• those who are a little unathletic
• those who tend to sit still at kindergarten or nursery
• those anxious about P.E. classes
— children like these as well.
As “I did it!” moments add up, confidence naturally grows, with positive effects on everyday posture and concentration.

FAQ
FAQ
From what age can my child join?
Kids karate accepts children from ages 3–4.
Even the littlest ones or criers are looked after kindly by the older students, so please don’t worry. It may feel a little scary at first, but once they get used to it, everyone trains with a smile.
Can girls join?
Of course.
What do you do in kids gymnastics?
Skipping, jumping and other basic movements; gymnastic moves like forward and backward rolls on the mat; playful training with balance balls, ladders and cones; plus flexibility, rhythm and posture exercises — all designed so children naturally build “basic athletic ability” while having fun.

There’s a wide age range, and the lessons had a good atmosphere with a balance of discipline and fun.

He enjoys going and even practices kata energetically at home. Areas that used to be a bit lax in daily life — greetings, responses, concentration — have become solid, which we’re grateful for.

The instruction gives careful attention to each child, so our child can train with peace of mind. The senior students are caring too, and we appreciate the warm atmosphere.
